Paradyce was started in 1980 by two musicians who are still in the band,  lead singer and keyboard player, Rick Mastria, and drummer/vocalist, Bill Ventura.  Rounding out the band is Mike DaSilva, who brings talent on both the Bass guitar and Saxophone.  Mike had a previous stint with Paradyce back in the mid-80’s and had previously played with “Whiz” in the late 70’s.  Other guitarists include Paul Slivinski on vocals, rhythm and lead guitar and Tony Kolarik on lead guitar.

Paul is a well know local musician having played with the former Taunton band “Destiny”.  And Tony, although all the way from Brookline, has been a part of Paradyce and a band mate of Rick’s since 1988.

The band offers a wide range of “Classic Rock” featuring bands such as The Beatles and The Knack.  All five band members sing which helps add to its versatility.  As band member Rick Mastria says, “We strive to play songs that connect with the audience.  In most cases, we watch the crowds sing right along with us.  You’ll know the songs because you grew up with them!”
